AlphaTheta is introducing a new way for aspiring DJs to move from bedroom setups and controllers toward a more professional, club-style workflow. The company has announced the XDJ-AN, a new 2-channel all-in-one DJ system designed to bridge the gap between home DJ equipment and professional club setups. Priced at $1,199 USD before tax, the system is expected to launch in mid-July.
Combining a familiar club-inspired layout with modern music access features, the XDJ-AN supports USB playback, DJ software, mobile devices, cloud-based libraries, and multiple streaming platforms.
## A More Accessible Step Toward Club-Style DJing
Moving from a controller to a professional club setup can be a significant step for many DJs. The XDJ-AN is designed to make that transition more approachable, featuring a layout inspired by AlphaTheta’s CDJ-3000X and DJM mixer lineup while maintaining a compact and accessible form factor.
The idea is to offer a workflow that feels comfortable at home while also preparing DJs for the type of setup they are likely to encounter in a professional booth.
## Streaming And Cloud Libraries Built Into The Workflow
One of the XDJ-AN’s key features is StreamingDirectPlay, which allows DJs to access music directly from supported streaming services. The system supports Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, and TIDAL, with Spotify support planned for a future update.
The system also integrates with rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, allowing DJs to access cloud-based music libraries stored through services such as Dropbox and Google Drive.
Through Cloud Library Sync, users can manage playlists, add Hot Cues, and organize their music directly from the system’s touchscreen. Changes can then sync across compatible devices through supported rekordbox subscription plans.
This allows DJs to prepare their music on a computer, make adjustments directly on the XDJ-AN, and continue working with the same library later without constantly transferring files manually.
## Mobile DJing And Wireless Monitoring
The XDJ-AN also expands compatibility with mobile devices. For the first time in an AlphaTheta all-in-one DJ system, users can perform directly from an iPhone or other compatible mobile device using apps such as rekordbox for iOS and djay for iOS.
The system is also compatible with DJM-REC for recording and livestreaming DJ sets.
Another major feature is built-in SonicLink, AlphaTheta’s ultra-low-latency wireless audio technology. When paired with compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10, DJs can monitor wirelessly with latency as low as 9 milliseconds, without the need for additional transmitters or traditional headphone cables.
## Flexible Connectivity For Home And Professional Use
The XDJ-AN features professional XLR outputs, RCA outputs, and Bluetooth input and output, making it suitable for a variety of environments, from home studios and small parties to content creation, practice sessions, and more demanding performance setups.
Software compatibility includes rekordbox for Mac and Windows, Serato DJ Lite, and djay Pro. Traditional USB playback is also supported for DJs who prefer to use locally stored music libraries.
With the XDJ-AN, AlphaTheta is targeting DJs who have outgrown entry-level controllers but may not yet be ready to invest in a full multi-player and mixer setup.
By combining a club-inspired workflow with streaming services, cloud libraries, mobile compatibility, and wireless monitoring, the XDJ-AN offers emerging DJs a compact and flexible path toward the professional DJ environment.
The AlphaTheta XDJ-AN is scheduled to become available in mid-July.
