Few have paved the way for Russian dance music as easily as Hard Rock Sofa. From Smolensk to top clubs globally, their eight years on the road have not only created serious musical milestones, but also a 360-degree success story in the modern industry. While Alexander Shapovalov amicably left the group in 2015 to pursue his solo project “Shapov”, Denis Chepikov continues to produce music under the powerful Hard Rock Sofa moniker.

With each release and dance floor rocking, Hard Rock Sofa proves that they represent the pinnacle of European dance talent – one that will only thrive further under Denis’ innovative leadership. Between BBC Radio One, Sirius XM and a constant presence on the global club and festival circuit, Hard Rock Sofa’s sound has challenged both domestic peers and global competitors to raise the bar.

For example, when “Blow Up” achieved anthem status, the floodgates officially opened for their industrious leaps and bounds. Serving artists like Spinnin, Warner Music, Axtone, Protocol, and Size Records alike, a renowned discography of powerful, melodic anthems has transformed benchmarks like “Here We Go,” “Quasar,” “Rasputin,” and “Get Down” into essential tracks not only for their own careers, but also for the global dance community and its modern heyday. Historically prolific remixers, Hard Rock Sofa has turned to David Guetta, Alesso, Style Of Eye, Example, and many others.

As one of the first artists of their generation to take their music to the big screen, a spot on the Fast & Furious 6 soundtrack didn’t hurt their club credentials, but it did highlight the many dimensions their sound can span. This may be the era of universal club promotion, but with Hard Rock Sofa comes a much broader picture of the prospects now available to modern dance artists. From EDC Chicago to Dance Valley and residencies at XS Las Vegas and Pacha Ibiza, the duo’s global presence exploded throughout 2013.

Joining David Guetta for his “F*** Me, I’m Famous” parties throughout the summer and racking up air miles across North America and Asia, the duo’s live moves reflected the unstoppable force that has cemented them at the forefront of their craft.

The persistence, passion and versatility of Hard Rock Sofa’s global renewal are sure to keep this consummate producer in high demand for years to come. From the North American club circuit and Beatport charts to the big screen, Hard Rock Sofa is poised to dominate the entire spectrum of the industry.
