Dony – Mr. City

Corneliu Constantin Donici (b. November 20, 1981, Brașov), known by the stage name Dony, is a Romanian singer and producer of pop-dance music.

With the release of the song “Sexy Thing” (2008), all dance-house music in Romania and Central Europe underwent a major change with the appearance of the so-called “popcorn” style, the style that gives the name to the album made by Dony and David Deejay, released in February 2010, when Dony became noticed with his special voice. Dony has produced hit singles with David Deejay such as “Sexy Thing” (2008), “Nasty Dream” (2008), “So Bizzare” (2009) and “Temptation” (2010). Dony also released the hit single “Samba” (2009), featuring pop star Andreea Bănică. In February 2011, “Hot Girls”, the collaboration with the famous singer Elena Gheorghe, appeared, the track from which Dony made a solo career.

As a producer, he made – for AlexUnder Base (Alexandru Enache) – the hits “Privacy”, “Drums” and the new production “Call Again”.

In September 2011, Dony released a new single on his official YouTube channel – “Milkshake” – which had more than 600,000 views in a month and a half.

On June 3, 2022 Dony releases “Love me like u do”.

On June 21, 2024 Dony releases “Mr City”.
