Palladian – Jacaranda
Jacaranda / Paralia / Astras is a three-track journey through the changing of seasons, using autumn as a metaphor for time, memory and the feeling of standing between one chapter and the next.
The three tracks explore three different relationships with time: the present, the past and the future. Together, they form a cycle — observing where we are, remembering where we have been, and wondering about where we might be going.
“Jacaranda” represents the present. Like the jacaranda tree itself, constantly transforming through its cycles of foliage, flowering and renewal, the track reflects on the beauty of change while it is happening. The dreamy atmosphere of this track is established by haunting vocals and delicate guitar arpeggios creating the main narrative line, then followed by a captivating drum pattern and warm organic textures building a sense of being immersed in a fleeting moment — aware that what exists today will inevitably change. There is melancholy, but also beauty in simply observing the passage of time.
“Paralia” turns towards the past. The track carries the nostalgia of an ending season — the feeling of looking back at moments that are slowly becoming memories. Its evolving melodies, layered percussion and atmospheric textures evoke the sensation of revisiting places and experiences after they have passed, holding onto their emotional imprint while accepting that they cannot be returned to. Paralia is the reflective heart of the EP: a journey through memory, nostalgia and the quiet acceptance that every season eventually comes to an end, like a last day by seashore, from which the title is taken.
“Astras” looks forward. Its central feeling is wonder — the curiosity of not knowing exactly what comes next, and the excitement that comes with that uncertainty. After observing the present and reflecting on the past, the final track turns its gaze towards the future. It represents wandering into unfamiliar territory, following intuition and allowing curiosity to become a source of energy. The cycle does not end in nostalgia, but in possibility.
Sonically, the EP reflects PALLADIAN’s characteristic balance between organic instrumentation and detailed electronic production. Warm melodic writing, Rhodes and piano tones, recorded guitars, charango, and kora by the Colombian multi-instrumentalist Juan Pablo Delgado, atmospheric synthesizers and subtle textural details are woven together with intricate percussion, deep low-end and fluid electronic grooves. The music remains intimate and cinematic while retaining a physical rhythmic pulse, allowing human warmth and organic imperfections to coexist with precise electronic production.
Their music has received regular radio support from BBC Radio, SiriusXM, Chilltrax, Voices Radio, Bloop London and more, alongside press coverage from outlets including Electronic Groove, Magnetic Magazine, Stereofox, Plastic Mag. With Jacaranda / Paralia / Astras, PALLADIAN closes one chapter while opening another. The EP looks at the present with awareness, the past with nostalgia, and the future with curiosity — turning the natural cycle of the seasons into a reflection on the cycles of our own lives.
The EP will be their first independent release marking an important moment in PALLADIAN’s evolution after their musical journey through Anjunadeep, Enhanced Music and other electronic labels, collaborating with Parra for Cuva on “Huda”, performing and touring alongside him as well as other incredible artists such as Fejka, Two Lanes, Catching Flies, Tycho and Nils Hoffmann and soon to be performing in Prague for the first time at Palac Akropolis on the 5th of December.
